The Thule Roof Bar Range
Thule are the leading developer of load carriers for cars. There is no better solution

The Different Mounting Methods
There are 5 main methods roof bars can be attached to your vehicle; Fixpoints, Roof Rails, Rain Gutters, Door Seals and T Track. It is important the method mentioned above is relevant to your vehicle. The same model of vehicle can exist in different specifications e.g. with or without roof rails.

Vehicles with Pre-Installed Fixpoints
Many cars are fitted with pre-installed attachments for load carriers, so called fixpoints. These ensure a solid and secure mounting.

Vehicles with Roof Rails
Roof Rails run the length of the roof of a vehicle. Roof Bars attach to these by clamping onto or around the rails. Some Roof Rails, usually ones mounted flush to the roof, have a shaped profile or a grove on the inside.

Door Seals
For many cars the roof bars are mounted on to the door frame, around the area of the seal. Fitting kits specific to vehicles ensure the roof bars attach securely.

Rain gutters
Theses Roof Bars mount into or onto gutters which run the length of the roof line, above the door frames.

T-Track on your vehicle
Some Roof Rails may have a T-Track or similar on them, this is often in the form of a groove or a lip which enables Roof Bars to attach to them. Other Vehicles may have the T-Track directly on the roof of the vehicle, running the length of the roof.
